Westminster Works is located in the Southern Gateway, a £1bn regeneration zone that will create new commercial and entertainment spaces, thousands of homes, an estimated 3,000 jobs, and add £470m to Birmingham's £623bn economy.
The city is set to significantly benefit from the HS2 rail link, which will connect Birmingham to London with journey times of just 45 minutes. Curzon Street, 0.73 miles from Westminster Works, is the proposed site for the railway's station, due to open in 2026.
HS2 will further unlock the transport potential of Birmingham. Its New Street Station is used by over 51m people every year, whilst the city itself is home to over 3m people, making it the UK's second largest city.
