Construction of West Yorkshire care home remains on target despite weather delays
Following the completion of the steel framework for Scissett Mount back in November, work has continued on site with all concrete floors in the building now installed, despite the inclement weather over the past few weeks.
All tanking and retaining walls are now fully complete on site, allowing the installation of the exterior work to begin later this month.
Slightly delayed by design issues, the roof is now set to be installed at the same time as the mains drain connection – as both elements require the closure of the road adjoining the site.
Due to the 12-week notice required to secure the road closure, the lifting of the roof trusses and the connection to the drainage system is now due to take place in May.
All of the subcontractors required to complete work on the site have now been secured for the months ahead, with works scheduled to attempt to recoup the time lost during the adverse weather delay throughout the remainder of the build programme.
With this in mind, the target for practical completion remains the end of September 2018.
As construction continues on site, ready for completion later this year, capitalise on the 8% fixed rental return with 15 year fixed rent offered at this West Yorkshire care home investment.
