Electric and plumbing installation also continues on site
Sunderland city centre’s newest student accommodation development is progressing well, with the partition walls now installed in more than 90% of apartments at Jameson House.
Since our last update, the partition frames for each apartment have been installed across the entire building, with the installed walls now 90% plastered throughout the development.
The first fix of the electrical systems has been completed in 50% of the apartments, whilst the mechanical first fix has been finalised across 75% of the building.
Joinery works are now 10% complete, with casings to be fixed in place once builders works have been completed to minimise the potential for damage, and the flooring has been completed across three quarters of the development.
The windows at Jameson House are in the early stages of being updated, with just 10% installed and the progress being monitored.
Internally, the drainage has been fully laid, with work on the external drainage systems due to commence in the coming weeks. Guttering and fall pipes will also be installed in the month ahead, following the installation of the fascia on the outside of the building.
On the roof of the building, 80% of the lights have now been installed, with 10% of the roof repairs also finalised.
