Construction work on Barnsley’s newest boutique studio apartments continues, as the plasterwork nears completion on site.
In a letter to investors who have already purchased in the project, the developer advised:
‘We are remaining ahead of schedule at present with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors fully boarded and plastered. Work is progressing well on the 4th floor closing up the rooms with the plasterers starting on the 4th this coming week.
We have most of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd floors first and second fixed electrically, with those floors mechanically first fixed, all above ground drainage is installed down to the ground floor at present and the mains hot and cold water services are installed within the corridors on all floors.
The flooring on the first and third floor is now completed with the second floor being completed over the coming week, we have all the kitchens for the first and third floors on site, with many on the first floor already fitted.
The installation of the bathrooms on the first and third floors is making good progress at present and the joiners have started on site and are following the trades through the building fitting the doors, skirting and architraves, with the decorators due to start work on the completed apartments.
The installation of the scaffolding around the building is imminent allowing the replacement windows to be fitted and the roof replaced together with a full visual inspection of the building with repairs to the walling and cleaning being carried out as required.’
