Construction continues at the Sunderland city centre apartments, including strengthening works and drainage installation
Building works are almost completed on the first and second floors of Fawcett Street, a residential apartment conversion in Sunderland, following September’s construction update.
The perimeters of the first floor have now been lined, with work on the wall structures having now commenced. Additionally, drainage is now in place, and the first fix electrical works are now underway.
On the second floor, the rooms have been formed, and both the first fix plumbing and electrical works have been completed.
Strengthening works continue in the attic unit, which has been fully fire lined from the 2nd floor below.
In the rear offshoot, 75% of 3 rooms have been boarded, with all first fix plumbing and electric in place, whilst structural work to the floor of the remaining unit is due to commence sometime later in the month.
The windows are due to be fitted in approximately 3 weeks, and other external works will commence once the scaffolding has been erected for the window installation.
Available for less than £50k, these buy-to-let flats are centrally located; at less than 0.1 miles from the city's transport hub, shopping complexes, and entertainment districts, they are ideal for young working professionals and students living and studying in Sunderland.
A very limited number of units are available, and the conversion is scheduled to conclude before the end of the year. To register your interest, please visit the Fawcett Street property listing page.
