Gutters have been installed ready for the strip of the front elevation scaffolding at Scissett Mount in Kirklees
Progress continues at Scissett Mount following September’s construction update, with work commencing on the formation of the main entrance to the site and the retaining walls some 65% completed.
With the main drain connected last month, orders have been placed for connections for other services, whilst surveys have been carried out.
The internal walls for plant room and lift shafts are now completed, with the layout of the kitchen finalised and work beginning on the basement’s internal partitions.
The vertical risers, which adjoin the lift shafts and accommodate the M&E services installations to all levels, have now been fully constructed, with the installation of the lifts due to commence on the 8th of October.
Roof tiling is some 97% completed, and the gutters have been installed in preparation for the stripping of the front elevation scaffolding, which is due during the second week of the month.
External rendering is some 75% finished, whilst the stone walling to the elevations is around 95% complete. Additionally, the majority – some 70% - of windows have arrived on site, with approximately 40% installed.
All the ceilings have been installed to Level 2, whilst all bathrooms are tiled and have toilets, showers, and wash hand basins fitted. Door frames have likewise been fitted, ready for the installation of the doors and ironmongery early in October.
Distribution works are well advanced, whilst the M&E works are some 70% completed to the rooms, with the first fix works completed in the communal areas.
M&E first fix is also completed on Level 1, with 80% of the ceilings installed whilst 85% of the walls are skimmed. On the Ground Floor, M&E first fix is well advanced.
The gabion walls at the basement level have been installed as part of the formation of the external landscaping, with progress being made on the distribution of soil to adjust levels in the garden area.
